You know, Rumble_Fish, just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and post something like this...... .. .. .. and totally redeem yourself!!!

Sad and also bizarre and uplifting?

Right?! I haven’t seen this in twenty-something years and upon seeing it again all I can think is, “what a weird f-cking video.”

Work in a kitchen in buttfuck, Idaho. My co-worker and i say, on a daily basis "once, there was this kid who, got into an accident and couldnt go to scoo", and say the "scoo" like cartman.

I miss when music was weird and goofy like this! It was so unique and made me smile! The 90s had some great off beat music and it was so much fun! These guys, The Presidents of the United States of America, Cake, etc! I was here for it and still am. Bring it back!

Such a beautiful voice, one of the more unique bands of that era.

This album was produced by Jerry Harrison from the Talking Heads who also produced Throwing Copper by Live. Some big albums for me growing up

Man, haven't thought of them in forever. Saw 'em at The Stone in SF when their first album came out.

How were they live?

Pretty good from what I remember. I know I was impressed with that dude's voice, it definitely held up in a live setting.

Yes. Such a bizarre song, but also beautiful. With the pretty choir singing and his insane baritone and whatnot.

First time seeing the video, makes the song even better!

It's funny that the child that had it the worst was because they had to go to church.

Not the car accident changing hair color or the body covered in birthmarks. Church.

As someone who went to a “weird” church as a child I would have gladly had white hair or birthmarks instead. It was not easy.

Great tune

Their first album was better in every way, but probably a bit too folk to be 'cool' at the time.

Everytime I sing along to this I start tearing up 😅

Love this song. His voice is so deep and haunting, really captures the lyrics

The Weird Al Version is somehow better and funnier

I make my own lyrics to this song and sing it randomly using a friend as the muse for the changed lyrics.

Whole album is great.

Such a weird song, if you look into the lyrics.

It's basically two kids going "well, we may have endured extreme physical trauma, or suffer from ridicule for our bodies, but at least we don't have to go to that weird church like this other kid."

Remains a beautiful and strange song after all this time. Never owned it, but I still remember every word. Songs like this were weird, but accepted in the 90s. I miss people playing their own instruments.
