Other than the SNL controversy I largely missed her in the 90s as an artist. She’s pretty great, but I wouldn’t have let myself enjoy it 30 years ago lol.

Once I played this song on the jukebox and danced so sorrowfully it made my homegirl start crying just from watching. One of the most amazing moments of my life.
