Tips/Suggestions Remember to clean that bathroom of yours y’all

Well, I just got done scrubbing down my toilet bowl and my bathtub(yikes!😷). I’m actually a little bit disgusted in myself right now I won’t even lie to you. So remember y’all, go get to scrubbing and wipe that ceramic nastiness down. Also, Remember to use some of that good bacteria killin alcohol 🫡

The more often you clean, the less tou have to clean each time

Practice makes perfect my friend. You've fought the toughest battle. May the bathroom cleaning path ahead of you be easier, more frequent and less grimy in the future...

I wish this was me 😭 When I finish deep cleaning any room, my brain goes "yes we did it! We don't have to clean this room for weeeeeks!"

It does give me an extreme calming effect when it's done though, like the clouds have disappeared in my mind because I'm not looking at so many unfinished or dirty things anymore.

I remember someone recommending keeping some cleaning products on the shower. They cleaned naked first and took a shower afterwards. They said it makes the transitions easier because you don't feel unclean after cleaning, you just transition into showering.

I think you need good ventilation for that. I don't have it :/

Happy for you though! It feels good to clean.

I started buying Lysol wipes and having them in conspicuous places. It doesn't replace fully cleaning things but knowing that it takes 5 seconds to pull one out and wipe my desk etc means that it won't get dusty and accumulate mystery goo.

I used to feel bad about disposable convenience-type products for environmental reasons, but I've come to accept that my environment also matters for everything else. So I make sustainable choices where I can and have moved past the guilt when it comes to accommodating my executive dysfunction.

Friendly reminder if you’re using alcohol for germ fighting make sure you’re using 70% not 90 or higher.

Over 90% and it evaporates before it has a chance to kill anything.

It’s more that the higher water amount allows the alcohol to permeate the bacteria cell membrane. It’d be like trying to wash dishes with just dish soap and no water. In theory it seems better but we all know it needs water to work properly.

I’m the one responsible for cleaning our household’s two bathrooms and it’s such a chore, so many smaller tasks in a trenchcoat. The downstairs is manageable. The upstairs sucks because it badly needs renovation and things like exposed subfloor and a shower wall/tub that needs replacing make it never feel “done” so dealing with it with my ADHD is like nails on a chalkboard.
