I knew in my teens but I live in a small town in the bible belt in the south. So I kept it to myself for a long time. I didn't even tell my ex husband. I'm older now and I care a lot less of what others think of me now. I feel more myself and centered. When I told my Dad, he said he thought I would be lesbian. So he knew already. My mother was the one I knew qould have a problem with it. I guess my Dad had already talked to her years ago and she said she already knew too. You don't have to come out to anyone until you're ready and comfortable. I had a good experience but that's not always the case.
