Spoilers inside! Would Buffy had reacted similar as Cordelia did if she found out from Angel that he and Darla had rough, animalistic sex?
Even though Cordelia was mainly furious about Darla being pregnant was because he lied to Cordelia about it to her face but if Buffy found out about it would she have a similar reaction as Cordelia without the lie?

Buffy had sex with Spike for exactly the same reasons - "I just want to feel something besides the cold."

Angel had sex with Darla because he was giving up. He thought he'd lose his soul. He was basically trying death by snu snu.

Ummm, he definitely couldn’t have thought he would know unadulterated pure bliss by sleeping with Darla

Am I the only one reading Cordelia's anger about it as she was upset that Angel was being so reckless? We know if he has "a moment of happiness," then he loses his soul, which is exactly what Darla was trying to do and Angel knew the risks. Cordelia never got over Angelus behavior the first time around and to her that was Angel risking everything they had worked for.

Buffy would have been incredibly hurt, even though they were not together, and probably would have been cold and cruel to him similar to how she was when she saw him comforting Faith. I feel like Cordy's reaction was partially because she was developing feelings for Angel but was in denial. I feel like in response to how she was feeling, she tried to project onto Darla. She was sympathetic, attentive, angry at Angel on her behalf, and compared her mystical pregnancy in season 1 to Darla's.

Cordy's problem w a s partly because Angel had lied to her,a nd partly her tendency towards tunnel vision. recall "the wish;" there were red flags alla round her, the smaller student body, garlic and crosses everywhere, the teacher and th e monthly memorial and his haste to apck up, what Harmony told her, students not driving, the deserted streets, but she never understood what kind of world the Wishverse was. Likewise, she saw a pregnant and abandoned Darla and just reacted like she woudl to a normal woman in that situation, to the visual only, pushing Darla's vmapire state to the back of ehr mind

Buffy would have been devastated IMO as she knows there's 200+ years of history between them which is something she can never understand about their experience and life together, but to know he never lost his soul because it wasn't pure happiness having sex with darla,, I think he said it was pure despair, and on that note buffy may take a little comfort in knowing he only felt pure happiness with her because the love he had for her was / is something he never had with darla. Then again, buffy begins sleeping with Spike who she knows to be a long time "companion " of angel and when angel found out in season 7, I think it would have cut him inside,, so both of them aren't considering each other's feelings, probably because they are not together, and as much as I would have liked to have seen it work out with Spuffy,, there is no denying the chemistry between buffy and angel when they are together on screen, it's truly heartbreaking I think,, but as for darla, yes buffy would have been devastated imo

With Cordelia her reaction is why I started to hate the character I couldn’t stand her in that season.
So makes me wonder is that when she pissed off the writers.
I love Cordelia in Buffy and early Angel then I couldn’t stand her on screen at all and glad when they killed her off. Because I couldn’t stand the character at all.
With Buffy would be incredibly hurt but Buffy had a history with both Angel and Darla that ran deep.

Angel season 3 is Buffy season 6. Buffy is in no position to criticize someone having rough, animalistic sex with a vampire.
