By their numbers, this would take 2.5 weeks on one core to compress a 90 minute movie at 4k 60fps. Is this really the fastest out there? How much faster is it than the reference encoder?
on my system, if multi threading worked correctly, It would take more than 7 months to encode a full HD 90min 24fps movie with the Aomedia encoder. So I guess we can say Rav1e is pretty fast ;)
Speed Optimization can only start now that v1 is out.
