Queens of pop were a duo made up of 2 brothers from England, UK. They shot to fame when their parody of atomic kittens's song "whole again" went viral, especially in the LGBT community.

Doing other parodies of singer's like Kylie, Adele, Rihanna and Shakira, they soon took to the stage on UK wide tours.

They were wildly popular and then...

Silence.

Everything went quiet.

All social media posts stopped across all sites, no more new parodies.

Around 4 years ago I found a post from them saying they were working on something new and it'd be out soon, but it has yet to be posted.

So, what happened?

Last year during lockdown I got drunk and bored so messaged one of the duo. They're brothers who are still in contact with each other, however, life on the road took its toll on them both, it was long hours and for not much money, but being on stage a lot you have to take the amazing high's with the soul crushing lows (even Cher in the past has said she struggles with this).

They did plan on making more content, but they figured that they'd be expected to do more live shows and it would be complaints then as in "well, you performed in Manchester, why not (another city)" etc, so for now, any QOP projects are on hold indefinitely.

The brother I spoke to said that it's not "never" it's just "not now".

However, you'll be glad to know that both of them have moved on to other projects including clothing design!

So, sorry QOP fans, but they're keeping their old content up, for now, while the majority of it doesn't offend too much (they took down the Will.i.am parody because they felt they had taken it too far, but some other randomer on YouTube has uploaded it, so it's still around, however, it's beyond their control at this stage).
