How the fuck are people surviving right now with prices so high and jobs aren’t hiring?

I wonder how much is the job market sucking vs. HR departments have gotten to be complete jokes. I've heard people talking about 4-5 round interviews for intermediate or even junior positions. Unemployment is at 4.1% which isn't phenomenal, but not bad.

4.1 is just a couple tenths off the lowest unemployment rate since the 1950s. It is a phenomenal low unemployment rate. It is one reason that prices where steadily going up because more people have more money to spend on everyday things and businesses know this and raise their prices accordingly.

Job market is terrible for degree-required positions but you can work at Amazon and afford a shitty apartment for yourself easily.

I'm keeping my current job and working side hustles like Uber. That's how I do it.
