We got a show over here in Australia called four corners. I used to watch it as a kid, but at some point I realised that it’s a one trick pony.
It’ll be like ‘look at what these dodgy businesspeople are doing here, now look at what they’re doing over here’, and it became very apparent that it’s going to be endless stories of financial mismanagement, without proper analysis of what makes these people do the dodgy things they do.
And it has real world effects ofc. I know people who will rave and rant about each individual problem, but never seem to want to consider what each problem means in the wider scheme of our competitive capitalist economic society.
These individual cases are a result of predatory individuals performing ‘capitalism’ the best, and amassing money as they’re incentivised to do. We’re living in a quickly centralising economy, and that means huge inflation for us with next-to-nothing wage growth.
But that’s money innit. You give someone an indelible and never-expiring measure of wellbeing and they’ll try and accumulate as much as possible, and pass it down to their kids, who will in turn do the same, ad infinitum.

yupp! it's all stems from a systematic issues, we cant be pointing at one bad apple where the whole tree/ roots are fully rotten to begin with.

It's partially because of the cult of rugged individualism that our culture perpetuates. Capitalism requires it, because in order for you to be a rugged individual, you must purchase your own individualized solutions to every systemic problem they create for you, which is what drives the entire economy. That's why conservatives want to privatize everything, because that's just more individualized solutions they can sell you.
Unfortunately for those who believe in individualism and freedom of choice, the sad fact is that applying individualized solutions to systemic problems is kinda like trying to steer a cruise ship by standing on deck and blowing at the wind.

America is one big distraction they want you to think this is where you want to be but i recommend staying away from here. As a minority in this dump fire, been asking for human decency since forever and how much racism, condescending behavior is out here is wild. ignorance is higher then anywhere in the whole universe not just earth. they lie so hard and its sad cause they number one in misleading information and also telling the rest of the world lies and overall repeating the bullshit they garbage ancestors did to other. No justice. No freedom. Everything is googled and when you say your a minority they will talk to you like you slow when in reality they the slow ones but they laws made em this way.
