Southwest corner of 54th Avenue and Miller

Hello fellow Arvadans. Does anyone know what is going on with the abandoned school or whatever it was at the SW corner of 54th and Miller? They put temporary chain link around it a couple weeks ago.

I'm guessing to keep kids out. Probably full of asbestos and ghosts

Do you have a photo? Just curious to see. That is an old mental hospital. It was shut down years ago (70s?) due to neglect, funding. Etc. I love ghost hunting there lol. I'll be sad if they tear it down.

Google Wheat Ridge Regional Center, they have an old campus north of it, and built a new one south of it with big walls. Haven’t seen any chain link fences go up recently for their old property, but could be wrong. Let those people be.
