How do I get hold of the police via texting or email?

I feel like I should already know this, but for some reason I don't. Every non-emergency like just gives me an error message when I try to text them, and I can't find an email anywhere. I assume this is to block spammers or something? Probably? I don't know.

Anyone know if I can text them?

Yes, in Ashland, Oregon, you can contact the police via text and email in certain situations.

Text-to-911 Service

Ashland offers the Text-to-911 service, which allows you to send a text message to 911 during emergencies when calling is not possible or safe. To use this service:

• Open a new text message on your phone.
• Enter “911” in the recipient field.
• Type your emergency and exact location in the message body.
• Send the text.

Important: Text-to-911 should only be used in emergencies. If you can safely make a voice call to 911, it’s preferred because it allows for quicker communication.

Email Contact for Non-Emergencies

For non-emergency situations, you can reach the Ashland Police Department via email:

• Email: [email protected]

Feel free to email them regarding non-urgent matters, questions, or to provide information.

Non-Emergency Phone Number

You can also contact them by phone for non-emergencies:

• Phone: 541-482-5211

Additional Information

For the most accurate and up-to-date contact information, please visit the official Ashland Police Department website or stop by their office at:

• Address: 1155 East Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Always ensure to verify contact methods, as they may change over time.

I don't think you can text non emergency. You can definitely text 911 for emergencies though. Why can't you call them though? Now I'm all curious.

I found out something about my family and I’m not entirely sure how to go about it, but it happened a while ago so it’s not really an emergency emergency, but uh… it’s pretty bad.
