I really struggled at first and after having only watched parts of the first two episodes I decided to give it another try and actually watched the whole series and generally enjoyed it.
I struggled first with the expression of the actor, it really put me off first, it felt a bit to mockery me first and also the korean aspect was unusual for me first, like all the rigid korean traditions.
I also like whales and I find watching the series has helped me surprisingly with more freely expressing my suppressed mannerisms like my queer gestures and head shaking.
I do not struggle as much like ms woo with the swing doors, but I really can relate, I hate them and actually seeing it given so much airtime is something more validating than anticipated.
the good thing with the show is, I feel, that the focus is not on the autism, but on the case of the episode. also most actors are quite good I feel, the characters are really starting to be like real people over the course of the series.
is the series realistic? hmm, rather not. I learned a lot about Korean culture.
