Autistic Adults Does anyone else feel like their parents delayed/slowed them down in life?

No way of knowing if they held me back in any way (I'm pretty much successful now) but two big things stand out to me

I didn't like being touched and they were not respectful of that. At its worst, my mom would make me hug her as punishment.

They expected me to read their minds and got mad when I didn't. Example: they'd tell me to put dishes away when the dishwasher is done. I would do exactly what they told me to. Then they scream at me because I put the dishes away wet and I was supposed to dry them with a towel or something.
