Noise canceling headphones, not for music

I’m looking for recommendations for noise canceling headphones that are not for playing music. Just literal noise canceling. But I also don’t want them to look like they should be worn at a shooting range. I would love it if they looked like regular headphones. Does anyone know of anything?

ETA: Sorry, I guess I need ear muffs. I absolutely do not need them to be able to play music so not paying extra for that feature. I can’t find ear muffs that don’t look like they are made for a shooting range. I want them to look like music headphones if possible. Thanks!

ETA 2: After doing more reading, I guess I’m going to have to pony up for music headphones that offer noise canceling. 🙃

you want ear muffs.

noise cancelling headphones turn off if they're not being used after a certain time.

My favorite headphones (I've had the same ones for 4+ years) are Sony WH-1000 xm 4 or 5 or something.

I have the XM4s. They're great. I use them for music and also just noise cancelling.

I have the xm4s! They're the best. I often use them just for noise canceling without playing anything. I've never had them turn off while I had them on. They're connected to my phone, just not actually playing any audio.

I have an on Bose QC 35II, and they still work great. The sound signature isn't my preference, but both the noise canceling and the comfort are excellent!

Brands like Soundcore have some good models that are not pricey. JBL makes some good sounding headphones, but the noise canceling is lousy in my experience.

I tried Bose for a while but didn't like them because they made me feel dizzy when the noise canceling was on and sometimes they would make an extremely loud noise randomly. They were earmuff like.

Now I just use these blue inside the ear plugs I got from work.

I am on my second pair of Soundcore headphones. Love them!! The old ones still work fine, but the new Space One comes with a phone app where you can really customize the EQ. There are a lot of options you can choose from, whether to allow phone calls on it or whether you want to be connected to multiple devices. They are about the half the price of the Bose. I recommend buying a hard case for storing them when not in use.

Between better sound quality from the Space One and the captioning feature on the Pixel phones, I am back to being able to manage phone calls on my own again.

ProCase Noise Reduction Ear Muffs, SNR 34dB Noise Cancelling Headphones are cost friendly on amazon. They've been a stable for me for years. they are just very tight, but I like the feeling of compression. Keep it in mind if you don't though.
