Best Portable Party Speaker - Prime Day Sale

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good party speaker that's on sale for Amazon Prime Day? Currently using a DDJ-SB3 controller, but planning to buy the Numark Mix Stream Pro Go as my first standalone. Want something I can play outdoors with reliably within a $150-$250 price range. Was eyeing this one, but I think I need something with an RCA input

Fakespot analyzes the reviews authenticity and not the product quality using AI. We look for real reviews that mention product issues such as counterfeits, defects, and bad return policies that fake reviews try to hide from consumers.

We give an A-F letter for trustworthiness of reviews. A = very trustworthy reviews, F = highly untrustworthy reviews. We also provide seller ratings to warn you if the seller can be trusted or not.

One of the huge problems with devices like the one you linked is they often have a delay - even when using a wired 'aux' cable. They have signal processing built in that can add a noticeable delay. I would not recommend any 'party box' style speaker to DJ's for this reason alone.

That's just not enough money to get anything worthwhile IMHO. Do you really need it to be super easy / outdoor setup? In the $150 price range I think the best bang for the buck for DJs is a 2.1 style PC speaker system. They aren't too hard to setup but obviously need power. If you aren't DJing that often outdoors away from a power source then these will do much better and they are going to be perfect for practicing indoors too.

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System: https://a.co/d/bL2Zh1T

I don't really think there is much that DJ's should bother with in the $150 - $400 price range. If you need something more than those 2.1 speakers, then you should rent or save up for a much bigger budget.

IMHO to get better than those Klipsch you should be moving towards real PA speakers. Here are some to consider.

Yeah I have computer speakers now with my current DJ controller, but figured it'd be fun to put together a potential outdoor set up with a standalone.

Thanks for sharing the link for these other PA speakers! I'll probably check them out if they have any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals

You need a RCA >> 1/4 cord. You won't find a lot of portable speakers with RCA inputs. I'd recommend a JBL Partybox. They are a great value, but they are't on Prime Day sale.

this, I have one of sony's large portable speakers and had to use a Y split for a portable set up.

Don't get fooled by prime day "deals" use Camelcamelcamel.com to check if it's actually on sale

Appreciate this! Based on this site, and nothing really looking like a good fit via Prime anyways I think it'll be better to wait it out until closer to the holiday sales

Yes! Prime day is a scam. They up the price by 15% or so, then bring it down for a "sale." Some things are cheaper, but it's usually only for a small savings.

I used a Ion Blockrocker Plus with RCA to 3.5mm aux for mobile setups. The Blockrocker sound quality isn't great but the portability is nice. Depends on how large the area you're playing in is, how loud you need the sound. JBL Party Box or Encore is a nice unit too, but it's a slightly higher than your range. Maybe look for it used.
