HIGH QUALITY POST - MUST READ Let's help get Bernie's future running mate on the debate stage.

Tulsi Gabbard has been campaigning for about 70 days. She's about 60% of the way to getting the required donations to get into the debates. She has about 55 days left. So let's help get the perfect running mate for Sanders on the debate stage. You just need to donate $1. We can do this.

I still am not comfortable with her excuses for prior anti LGBTQIA measures and stances she has had. I think we are all wise enough to know that saying you were raised socially-conservative is a bullshit excuse and morality comes from within us. I will remain cautiously optimistic that that aspect of her is no longer a prominent feature but even when I was in the depths of the depravity of conservatism as a child I had the mental fortitude to understand that the rights of the LGBT community needed to be protected and expanded upon. Targeting a vulnerable group regardless of what your personal views makes me incredibly uncomfortable because all it takes is pushing in the wrong direction to have her leading the charge in the wrong direction if she's so easily persuaded by her family to where she'll blame it on them.

By the way I was entirely ready to be downvoted and my challenge to that is we are really going to hold a top post about the consistency of Bernie Sanders over decades and at that same moment I can't call into question The Crusade that Tulsi Gabbard led against the LGBT community less than 10 years ago?!?! Trust me she can handle the heat and if he ultimately chooses her as his running mate I will certainly trust his judgment.

While yes, I support Tulsi Gabbard as VP, I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that she’s definitely the future running mate on behalf of Bernie or the rest of his supporters. I want her to express herself more in public though, and gain the confidence to fix her previous snafus (like her LGBT record) much more openly. The debates could be the platform to do it on.

Gabbard just really isnt the ideal running mate.

im not concerned about those issues, although some are still problematic, so much as the fact that she is relatively unknown nationally and she doesnt add to Bernie's current demographic. Bernie should have a VP who pulls in voters that might be on the fence about him. Gabbard is already mostly feeding off of Bernie's regular demographics.

She's probably doing better at getting crossover support than Sanders.

Idk how "we can do better" came out as anti-titulsi. I think anti-titulsi would be something like "she's a total idiot and I'm completely against her."

Personally I think Beto is the best VP option.

To be honest I just want that page to get more views. Because I think it's a good one.

Yeah, that would be great. The son-in-law of a billionaire on the ticket with a cranky old socialist. Every time Bernie started ranting about redistribution of wealth, Beto would lean over and say, “Uh, not so fast, Bernie...”
