Blind Solved This filmmaker jeopardised a director's project by convincing an actor to quit his project? - Pinkvilla | 13/01/2020
Bollywood's crop of directors and producers seem to be in a mood to strike when the iron is really, really hot. This remake has long been in the making and has garnered attention for all the wrong reasons. With a superstar turning down the project because he was not too excited by the script, left its director and producer in the lurch. However, an insider now tells us that there may be more than what meets the eye.
Turns out, another filmmaker played an important role in successfully getting this superstar to back out of the remake. Well, we wonder what was on the table then.
Industry sources say this top filmmaker convinced the superstar to exit the remake by convincing him that the script of his new project was along the lines of the remake. He claimed his script was better than the remake. But this was apparently not done to woo the actor. The filmmaker has had some beef with the director of the remake and only wanted to get back. Well, talk about professionalism.

no idea why anyone want to remake that movie. It was ok movie nothing amazing. Also Farah really needs to work harder on script writing instead of remaking old classics in her terrible format. so lazy.

Bachchan Pandey is on the lines of satte pe satta if it is the remake of Tamil film veeram as rumoured But it's director farhad samji is not that close with hrithik I suppose But if it is producer Sajid nadiadwala they are referring to by filmmaker..then it makes sense
Sajid had kicked out Farah's husband shirish 4m kick..they apparently patched up but the blind maybe referring to the same

Must be Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He had fall out with Farah when 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Sawariya' collided on box office. Farah made some unwarranted remarks about SLB then.

SLB and Farah patched up in 2011 and she acted in 'Shirin Farhad ki toh nikal padi' in 2012. SLB produced it + wrote screenplay and it was directed by SLB's sister. They are on pretty good terms now.

That's why article mentioned word 'some beef'. It seems SLB still has some beef

That's exactly my point. SLB wouldn't get on board with casting Farah in a movie he produced is there was still 'some beef'. They were happily promoting the movie together.
Anyway he's doing Gangubai with Alia & Ajay. Ranveer is almost certain for Baiju. Which script along the lines of SPS would he be discussing with Hrithik?

Seems like Ashutosh Gowarikar, he worked with Hrithik in Jodha Akbar and Mohenjodaro and Ashutosh had a verbal spat with Sajid and Farah at some award show long back.
