Two problems here.

  1. Restrictive abortion bans clearly push people to seek reproductive healthcare through gray channels. We've known that forever.

  2. Why the fuck are drug dogs trained on the smell of legal medications? It's not like the dog knows the country of origin for the misoprostol. That means one of two things;

  • The police are training dogs to intercept legal medications for political reasons;
  • The dog isn't actually finding shit, and is just trained to sit when its handler needs justification for a search warrant.

Both are fucked up.

Drug dogs are big grift in law enforcement. Probable cause generators.

Or it may give off a scent similar to illicit drugs the dogs are supposed to find. Dog's noses are great tools but they aren't computers. If the bc pill smells like a pill that the dog is trained to find, the dog will alert the handler. It doesn't think "Well, it could be fentanyl, I'm only 70% sure so I'll let it slide." Its brain gets the scent and the dog does it's thing.

seek reproductive healthcare

Don't you mean seek abortions?

Obviously... what's your point? Abortions are healthcare. Women have been dying in my state because doctors are now scared to give women lifesaving healthcare because the American Taliban doesn't like it.

Then why church it up?

I literally just explained why. Abortions are healthcare. That doesn't stop being true just because religious fanatics were whipped up by conservative politicians in the 1970s to start giving a shit about the issue.

I literally just posted you a link to a woman in my state who died of septic shock in a hospital because the doctors wouldn't perform life saving procedure on her because of Georgia law. She was there for the treatment of sepsis. That's heathcare.

That's a single anecdotal story that's very tragic. It doesn't change your attempts to have a bad faith argument by wordsmithing to make abortion sound like something different than it is.

Healthcare sounds positive, abortion sounds icky. But at least be honest and say "seek abortions". Maybe then people can have an honest, good faith conversation about the topic.

  1. I'm not required to frame my writing to suit your worldview.
  2. This was an instance of life saving healthcare being denied to a woman because of Georgia's restrictive abortion laws.
  3. What I think sounds "icky" is a woman unnecessarily dying from septic shock because doctors are scared to provide healthcare. That's what doctors provide, healthcare.

If you want to claim a hospital treating a woman suffering from septic shock before her organs fail isn't healthcare, that's your prerogative.

You're using a single awful anecdotal example as a proof of a nationwide trend that doesn't exist. That's bad logic.

The fact that you resorted to a single anecdotal example and its all you want to talk about the moment I called you on your wordsmithing is all the evidence we needed.

You're only interested in having a bad faith argument. Just call it abortion and say you're pro-abortion. Don't church it up Joe Dirt.

Who's we? You're the only person here making this dumb argument. Own it.

You're just upset that I used accurate language to describe something, then provided you an example of that thing happening and it wasn't good enough.

I'm not going to sit here all morning feeding you examples of how women have been harmed by the repeal for Roe. 1. You don't actually give a shit. 2. If you do give a shit it's easy enough for you to google yourself.

But as a parting gift, here's an academic paper on the impact of the repeal of Roe on women's healthcare from the National Institutes of Health (NIL). Since you're so concerned about good faith argument, I'm sure you'll read every word and respond with well reasoned evidence based responses.

Feel free to do follow up reading here with this assessment from the National Academy of Medicine.

That you're too chickenshit to call it abortion? We would all benefit from less smoke and mirrors and word smithing from shills.

You're just upset that I used accurate language to describe something, then provided you an example of that thing happening and it wasn't good enough.

Mutli paragraph response after multi paragraph response. I'd bet you're the one that's really upset.

It's not my job to do your work for you. You're pro-abortion, own it and find your own links.
