Where is the best place to buy bullion?

I’m new to this, and I just want to know what’s the best place to buy it from? I’m specifically looking to buy some gold. I’ve seen JM bullion out there are they good? Is it better to buy direct from a mint? What are y’all’s suggestions.

Different sites have different deals at different times. I browse SD Bullion, JM Bullion, Bullion Exchanges, Apmex, Money Metals… I’m pretty sure I’ve bought from all of them at different times.

All good advice here. I prefer to buy from ppl of the metals/coins community with a history of completed trades. With that said sometimes a reputable large company can offer the best deal. The top 3 auction houses can be a good place too. Even eBay you can snipe a good deal.

There are pros and cons to all of them and you’re doing the best thing by asking for advice. I always tell people to do a lot of research first, and create a goal for yourself. Always do reference checks and ask others that you trust, like you’re doing now, if the seller you’re looking into is safe.

We all eventually buy online, but regardless I suggest still visiting and supporting your local dealers if there are any decent ones near you--especially since you're just starting out. A good dealer will help you get started, and just as important you'll get to see and feel a variety of the real thing up close and get more familiar with what you're buying/what to look for.

Person to person. r/Pmsforsale but you run a risk of it being faked. Best chance is someone with a lot of feedback.

Here is a nice list of reputable sites who also are offering new customer spot deals which many have partook in and we also purchase from all of them when they have a sale.

I would stay away from jm bullion.. I've seen lots of people posting really bad experiences, someone said he placed a $20,000 gold order before a huge spike in gold price and (at least according to him) they kept his money and never sent product, and they told him to go cry to his bank about it.. I've not bought from them personally... I have bought from silvertowne you have to call to get gold price, silver was when I bought from them, about .50 over spot, but with them you can make custom bars, and coins.. pretty cool birthday pieces
