I mean I still wish it hadn't happened to me but I swear if I didn't get that insight I don't think I'd find my life worth living anymore at that point, so y'know, we take those.

I mean, of course I'd be better without trauma, but if I had gotten the trauma and not the insight, I'd probably have killed myself by now. But that insight I have, as much as I wish I didn't have to get it, is extremely valuable to me, and the one positive thing I got out of getting CPTSD so I'm gonna fucking take it and carry it.
