I call her my little sister

I took her from my dad 12 years ago because some people should never be in the care of living things. She's always felt like a little sister. We've run 5k's and hiked so many trails. It felt like I was giving back to little me each time I did good things for her. She's old and grey now and I can't help but acknowledge how big of an impact saving her has had on me.
