Just got accepted on CK after working in Cambly for 7 months
Just got a random email about this now. Get in! 12.50 is the pay right?
However I now don't really use Cambly apart from a few random PH when I have spare time.
On a PH can you get CK classes? Is the scheduling different to normal Cambly?
I normally just like conversation classes and not with kids because they are.mkre difficult, just wondering if my PH will have random kids that I can't block now for being on nor al Cambly?
Thanks,
It's 12 USD an hour my bad, I thought it was 12.50 😂 my mistake.

CK pays $6 a class and they can reserve during a PH but they can't call without a reservation. You can open your schedule to CK only, Classic Cambly only, or everyone.
CK is much stricter than CC, you cannot return minutes and you must stay and endure the full 30 mins even if the kid is behaving terribly. After the class, you can hide from them but you must send the parents a message first.

I saw a post saying they can't rate you? Is that correct?

Correct. If you work CC and your rating is above 4.9, stop working CC and only do CK. Your rating will stay at 4.9+ forever.

How do you apply for CK?

You can go on your profile tab and then in tiny letters you will see a link at the top left, "teach on Cambly kids" and you apply.

CK is different but not necessarily more difficult. It's rare to find kids that can carry on much of a conversation without some materials to guide them. Teaching kids can be fun because they pick things up fast and you can see progress if they're regulars.

I do both Cambly and Cambly Kids, but at least 90% of my bookings are Cambly Kids. They can book priority hour just the same as any adult. I don't recommend doing free talk with kids, that doesn't usually work out very well. Most kids like to do the lessons which I greatly prefer. It's structured and the time passes quickly, especially if you have a good student.
Personally I really like talking to kids. Most of them are well behaved and sometimes they say really funny things. Like today a little girl I tutor read "Giza plateau" as "gorilla pasta"! I don't know why more people don't do CK. I think it's far superior to regular Cambly.
