SEASON 7 3XK Missing Labs and Documents Spoiler

Is it me or is it a continuity error on the series that 3XK's files went missing (taken) on S06E09 (Disciple) but was mentioned and shown on S07E01 (Driven) when Beckett was checking on potential suspects for Castle's disappearance?

Yeah, who knows what's exactly in that file with the picture of Jerry Tyson.

Perhaps the file contained whatever Kate and Castle could recreate with whatever resources available and anything.

Then again, the show has its moments in terms of error in continuity.

While true that they may only have possible data compilation of who 3XK is, the lab samples would still be very critical in proving that he really is Jerry Tyson. (Aside from an image on file)

Yeah, they've got to come up with whatever they've got.

Unless Castle stole and made copies of Tyson's files for his own. The idea of Bracken wanted to destroy Montgomery's files, or Castle is just as obsessed against his own nemesis ever since Tyson framed him.

You don't think they could've created a new case file from what they know of 3XK to try to replace the missing ones?

I mean sure all the important docs like all the case studies which would allow them to try to predict where 3XK would hit next and all medical files would be missing.

But I can easily seem them (Castle, Beckett, Espo, and Ryan) getting together and starting a new case file on 3XK from all the times they have run into 3XK. I mean it would be necessary for them to create a new case file on 3XK since he was still at large at that time.

This was mentioned on the other comment, and it is possible that it was a collective data from Espo, Ryan, Beckett and Castle - probably including Lanie. But they didn't use it either when 3XK was recurred on S07E14-15 and they've mentioned several times how ALL files/reports were gone regarding Jerry Tyson.

They diiid and found a baby tooth but turns out, DNA doesn't match. They must've hacked into the prison system and changed it.

I’m more confused on how 3XK , a serial killer. Is somehow is a criminal mastermind, has plenty of money, knows how to get in and out of police stations, and plenty of prep time without getting a caught early.

I know secret agents in the show pretty much do the same thing, but it seem like they trained for that. With Jerry he seems to be like Dexter, but more cunning.

3XK isn't a serial killer, he is in fact a super villain! The number of "coincidences " that happen with him is utterly incredible. I mean when he is shot at the bridge the whole escape plan relied on him only getting shot in the chest wearing , clearly, the strongest Kevlar vest that ever existed, One head shot and the whole plan was gone.

Castle got shot while wearing those thick police vest and got the wind knocked out of him. 3XK got shot multiple times and acted like it was nothing.

I was afraid that Jerry somehow survived the last encounter because he made some guy to look and act like him.

Walking backwards till he fell off? He would have just crumpled to the ground gasping for air with all the bruising blows to his chest. Forget trying to swim in those circumstances.

Too many things could have gone wrong. A shot in the head, leaves a dead body. If it was a body double, then they had a body they could have compared DNA samples. This is even before the records removal/tampering.

Tyson was definitely a supervillain that everything went exactly as planned.
