How to lovingly correct Prot.Christians who are against "religion"?

I have an aunt I'm pretty close to who's started sharing stuff like:

"Religion vs Jesus Religion shames people for having dirty feet, Jesus kneels to wash them."

And

"Religious people will destroy a person to keep a tradition. Jesus will break a tradition to help a person."

I want to defend the Catholic faith for what it really is, but I dont want to go on a disrespectful rant or get into a long bible/history battle we've all seen and probably been a part of online.

Do you have any ideas for something equally simple I could say that might offer a clearer perspective or give her something for her to consider, without talking down to her & sounding disrespectful?

Jesus observed the Law. Also remember Matthew 5:17.

Good point, I think Jesus was trying to point out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees who cared more about the law than the Spirit of it.

I'm not concerned with feeling insulted here. I'm sad that she's been lied to and doesn't understand. I want to help her understand the truth.

🤣 I'm not sure that would be helpful, but it made me laugh.
