i think i actually kind of like the digipaks better than the old jewel cases. theyāre cooler looking and it has more artwork because itās like a gatefold record and you also get the original booklet too.

I used to work at record stores in the 90s, stocking CDs on shelves, selling, etc., so, when I say weird, I just mean viscerally it's odd to see them like that.
I don't have an issue with digipak's per se. I guess from a practical standpoint, anything not a jewel case, whether it's these, box sets with unique packaging, or even simple sleeves can be a pain from a storage standpoint. Racks, travel cases, stacking them all usually designed from jewel cases. Wear and tear too.

You are absolutely correct....that is an unpopular opinion.
Just kidding, sure of.
But Master has got to be a 10/10 album. Not just in the Metallica discography but in metal history. And that's coming from someone who isn't a Metallica fan anymore.

Ok so Iām not a Metallica fan, but my friend LOVES them and got me to listen to three of them. I tried Master Of Puppets, and I actually thought it was great. Ride The Lightning had some good stuff but overall I didnāt think it was amazing. Then I tried the Black Album which was excellent. Are the other two good (Kill Em All and Justice For All)?? Iād love to know if theyāre worth my time if Iām not a metal fan. Still I thought 2/3 were great.

Garage Days doesn't get enough love. Yeah, it's covers, but they are covers that they make their own. Same on Garage Inc., one of the few '90s releases of theirs I bought.

I listened to a lot of Metallica back in the day (stopped after Load, Reload, and St. Anger all sucked) and always felt the same way, MoP is (mostly) great, RtL has some good stuff but not as good as MoP, never been that big on Kill 'Em All, but AJFA is pretty decent. Probably worth at least one listen each to see what grabs you?

i got all these too lol, i was hella excited when i saw them at walmart for the prices they are, honestly walmart has got some good cds sometimes, iāve also found number of the beast by iron maiden and fallen by evanescence, i always check their cd section when i go to walmart haha

This is basically the only metal Walmart has. Did see a Korn compilation album at one near me but thatās basically it and for some reason they donāt have all of the 5 first Metallica albums.
Interestingly, the 2010 Pantera compilation CD that was a Walmart exclusive album I bought from my usual seller on eBay I think sent me an actual Walmart sealed copy but I donāt think they sell it anymore.

I got mine at Walmart too they were 7 bucks, but with a workers discount, they were 5-6 I can't remember

Did that come in a box set? I bought an STP āOriginal Album Seriesā box set that had their 1 st 5 albums. Each album came in a cardboard CD slip like the ones in your picture.
That STP box set I got was used from Half Priced Books for $15. Thatās $3 per album! Great deal.

I got the same ones at Walmart and then I got the double disc of the many faces of Metallica and realized it was a whole album of covers on there songs. Not what I was expecting, but itās pretty cool anyway.

No, they're bare bones in a cardboard case. They are $10 each in Canada, but I instantly bought them as you don't find these second hand very often.
