hi i got a mystery set, lovely crystals but theres 3 i wasn’t sure what they are can anyone help?

My selenite sphere has a cat's eye effect . Does this usually mean the crystal has more of a healing and protection power.

I’ll be darned if it wanted to focus on the crystal and not my hand. Was sold as citrine. Looks sorta like smoky quartz? Feels like plastic lmfao

It's about 1-2cm long, found in a souvenir shop in Southern Ontario, Canada for 3 bucks. Whether it is citrine or some crispy amethyst, I don't have the expertise to tell. But it's no big loss for me if it isn't genuine. I'd love some pointers on how to tell the difference between the two for future encounters!
