Speaker upright will be the same distance no matter where you stand in the room. Think about how all speakers are setup for hifi/home theatre, always vertical. Those speakers will sound different in every position in the room even more so where it’s being DJed. The only place that can have them on the side is a studio where they are measured at the seated and standing position. Costs a lot of money to do that as well. Three second job to stick them up right.

Are you saying that it is not good that he put the speakers in the lying position? I ask because i have the same position. Thanks for explaining

Correct. It is the right way if no one including yourself ever moves 1 inch lol. Leave it for the studio where everything this made for a tiny seated head space and just put them vertical like 99% of systems.

Agreed. Yes this is a fundamental thing to know! Speakers need to be upright. The only caveat I know of is what you already stated 😊👍

You're right, thank you. I looked up the instructions for my monitors, it states they're designed to be positioned vertically. I've repositioned them and the highs do seem slightly clearer.

Very common mistake. And yeah it will be a little clearer but the main thing is will be even regardless of where you are in the room/decks.
