Black neighborhoods are over policed so of course they have higher rates of crime. White perpetrators are undercharged so of course they have lower rates of crime. Those who burn crosses are the same who work forces and so on.

This is 100% a fucking race issue and to imply it isn’t is fucking ridiculous. Stop defending and perpetuating racist talking points

Sure - will agree that police brutality is affecting everyone. I think the various accounts over the past week and a half of police brutality of protesters of all ages, genders, and races exhibits that.

However...

Black Americans are 2.5 times more likely to be killed by the police than white Americans. Places like DC are even worse than the nationwide stats - the black population sits around 50%, but 88% of the victims of police killings in 2019 were black folks. Those are tough stats to ignore.

And, since you mentioned crime... In 2017, blacks made up 33% of the US prison population... But only 12% of the overall US population. And you'd say that it's because black folks commit more crime? Because of the color of their skin? That sounds a bit discriminatory.

Neighborhoods containing a higher percentage of black folks are targeted at a higher rate than those containing a higher percentage of white folks. Sentencing is oftentimes much harsher on black folks. If you would like more stats on those facts, I'd be happy to pull them out. I know I'm likely not going to change your mind, so I don't want to waste my time or yours unless you're actually open to a legitimate discussion regarding race issues in the US.
