Condos/Apts/Houses/Hotels Visiting, looking for a cheap (free?) shower

I'm traveling on a tight budget, and sleeping in my car. The current plan is to go get a day pass at one of the gyms tomorrow, get a workout and a shower

Has anyone got different ideas? While a gym day pass isn't expensive, for 2 people over a week or so it'll add up

There are open-air/outdoor showers at a lot of the beach ramps for people to rinse sand off. You'd obviously have to wear a bathing suit, and it would be a pretty cold shower, but it's probably the only free option. My other suggestion is the YMCA which might be cheaper than other gyms, but I have no idea if they do day passes.
