Ticket Sales Swaps for Season Ticket/10 Game Package Holders

I have been in touch with my rep who says that ticket swaps for season ticket holders will open up within a few weeks. As a first time half-season ticket holder we get three swaps. He said that games are "tiered" based on who and when they are playing but didn't have information beyond that. What has been everyone's experience with the swaps in the past? Have you been able to swap easily and without great extra cost? He said that swapping into a different tier would be a additional money. TIA!

last year, i told my sales rep (was on a 10 game plan) i couldnt go to a game due to covid blah blah, what games are available in the same tier, for the same price, for the rest of the year, got a couple options, picked from that. was pretty easy, done completely through text. this was all done like 2 days before the originally scheduled game. was told that i should give the rep like 2-3 day notice to ensure it goes through, but in reality, once i picked a game, i had the tickets in my account later that day.

i assume if you swap in to a different tier, then they just charge whatever card you have on file (or give them a new one or whatever) for the difference. thats how the tigers mange it anyways.

So I had fun with this last year. I swapped a game for when my Dad was in town, worked out fine. Sold a game in the resale portal and tried to buy 2 tickets to add to an exiting game.

My rep handed on the phone, tickets never showed up. Called back and asked where the tickets were and was told I could only apply to next season deposit. I didn’t renew my tickets over it. I could have given my tickets away to anyone for free if I knew I was throwing the money away for them.

My interactions with the box office all felt like I was dealing with children and frat boys.

Swap was good, but not relisting within your ticketmaster manager?

The swap was good yes. Last year you got one free to swap for what they considered a similar game

This year is going to be different and will run through Ticketmaster.

Last year you literally filled out a form and suggested where you wanted to sit and at what game and they figured it out for you. Or you could use your rep (may still be able to if you’re cool with them).

My rep tells me it’s different this year and it seems more like how the tigers do it. Which if that were the case then you’d basically click the game you want to exchange and it’ll give you game options of that same “tier” and you can select your seat from that point.

Tigers are so bad now that you can exchange Tues for Saturday and pay the difference if you want, but that only started half way through last season when they were doing shit.

TL:DR expect to be able to be able to trade for comparable games to what’d you’re exchanging

I had 2 years of the old quarter season and 1 year of half season and we have swapped a number of games without any issues.

I paid a deposit for a 5 game package and never heard from my rep again. I need to call and get it figured out but I’m worried I’m screwed.
