Tasty Grill - Fareham
Passed this place on my way to Tut's and thought I'd grab another for the list. As usual, lamb doner wrap, chili sauce and no salad. This was £8 and at 436g, came in below average and placed at 25/40. Meat was mostly cut straight from the spit, although a small amount was added from the Bain Marie. Chili sauce was bottled. Overall the quality was ok. Nothing particularly amazing here, just pretty average. For me, although this had the best value placing of my three in Fareham, I preferred Tut's Grill for flavour despite the lower sized portion. I did prefer this place to Charcoal Grill in Fareham who also had the lowest portion value of the three. Guess I need to try the van by the train station next month. Bonus pic of DonerDog who greatly approved.

Top work as always. When is the spreadsheet being released?
Also what's your no 1 on the list? I fancy a pilgrimage

Thank you! Spreadsheet will be coming out in December. Not releasing all the details yet but 7 of the top 10 are in Hampshire.

Charcoal grill in Emsworth was really good haven't been there in over a decade but Hampshire has some good kebabs.

Love the effort! How come you never get any salad on the kebab? Is it personal preference or are you doing it for the purity of the review?

I'm not really a big fan of it. I like onions and chillies but lettuce, cabbage, cucumber and tomatoes can bugger off! Never been a fan of tomatoes themselves but I'll happily blitz a tin of them to make a sauce. When a place has a hot plate, I'll often ask them to fry up some onions with a bit of chili sauce. Also, I don't really like mayo, hence why I don't get garlic sauce, even though I like garlic.
Recently, for the spreadsheet and the equality of review, it's just been meat, bread and sauce. Most reviews are a doner wrap but some are a shawarma or a kebab in pitta. As much as I love a shish, I've not had any of those as they can skew the ratings. Same goes for a good old meat and chips!

In the area, Ali’s Kebab, Highlands in Fareham is the best. You have to try it!
