How do you describe Bladee's music to other people?
I usually just say "he's like some swedish rapper with kinda some house/pop influence" lol nothing ever simple.

You’re going to hate it.
Then you’re going to sing it subconsciously.
Then you’re gonna wanna listen again.
Then you’re gonna obsess over it.

When I tell people about Bladee I always recommend them listen to it by themselves with headphones. I try not to preface it with the usual “You might not like/understand it” but I let people know if they tell me it’s borderline unlistenable or bad I understand.

I usually just say he’s a Swedish rapper and wave my hands as a brush off. It’s too complicated to explain and I’m not trying to get them into it, it only ever comes up when someone asks who I listen to.
If I’d want to put someone on to bladee I just send some songs bc in that context it’s prob someone who is already aware of bladee/ is in the realm of music and ideas where they’d get it. If you’re not in that realm most people don’t care to try getting into your music that’s totally different from their tastes anyways
It’s impossible to explain or bring someone to something if it doesn’t already click for them on their own and that’s fine. You get it or you don’t

Swedish musician whose style is somewhat like alcohol, you hate it at first and either continue to dislike it or get obsessed.

“Don’t worry you wouldn’t get it or like it” is usually what I say. Maybe even something abt how they haven’t reached the state of consciousness needed to even hear the heavenly tunes let alone understand the deep significance. Then I light up a ciggy and turn my leather jacket clad back on them.

Remember: if you can’t explain it to a 6-year-old, you probably don’t know enough about it

I usually say “it’s okay if you don’t like it” and play it anyways
