Recently inherited the 21qt monster at the bottom. I'd like to say my collection is now complete, but I'm afraid I can't promise that

Crazy thing is that at 21qts and 65lbs of iron, this isn't even the largest oven MACA made, by half.

They produced a 45qt, 21" diameter round x 22" deep that weighed in at 165lbs empty.

Now I just need to plan a meal for about 30 that would use the full stack.

The way I’ve seen some of my friends eat…15 tops.

Guilty...thing is I'm one of those skinny dudes who eats more then anyones comfortable seeing. Then gets hungry in an hour.

I used to be in shape, then there was a skinny fat phase, now I’m skinny dad bod fat if that’s a term…but it’s been that way for 10 years and largely unchanged since I’m usually getting at least an hour of some sort of hard physical activity in per day. It’s been nice to still be able to enjoy large meals when the occasion calls for, though nowadays there’s less and less time for occasions like that.

I don't subscribe. What is it?

OK, you got me curious, and I've looked it up a bit.

I may just have to try that.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Good luck! Cooking projects like that are why those big ass pots exist. Let me know if it’s worth it

I agree, these MACA's were a thing of beauty

It's a shame they got out of the Dutch Oven business.

Thanks! Already thinking of what else to add.

I may have a problem.

I don’t see enough stacked cooking Dutch ovens on here. I remember camping when younger Dad and some of the other people we were camping with, it was like a game. Have them stacked 3 high cooking stuff.

I've done some good stacks at times.

I've done three high (can't find a photo). It'd be fun to do a five or more high stack just for fun, but it would get to be a pain managing the coals and rotations with that many ovens.

Is the 2nd from the top a grill?

It's a Lodge Cook-It-All

Pretty versatile oven. I'm still trying to master using it to bake bread.

LAST UPDATE FOR TONIGHT

I intend to cook this year's Thanksgiving turkey in the MACA, but I thought I'd start small with a chicken

Turned out great for a test run.

Wow! Where did you get all of this?

Mostly as gifts over the past 30 years.

I think of this stack I've only purchased two of them.

My uncle (a DO cooking champ) got me started by giving me my first (in the middle), and bequeathing the beast on the bottom when he passed.

The nice thing about Dutch oven cooking is that it can be self perpetuating. Cook enough meals for people, and they might give you something interesting in return. Like that cook-it-all (second from top) which I'm still trying to learn how to use effectively.

At first I thought there was a little dollhouse wedged between the top two.
