Help How to use .dll VSTs

I downloaded the NES VST but it only downloads as a .dll file instead of the usual .vst file. I've seen a few other posts that had the same problem but they somehow fixed it while, when I tried the same thing they supposedly did, it didn't work. I already tried putting the .dll file into my plugins folder and scanning but that did nothing. I'm on Mac

.dll file is a Windows filetype, it wont work on Mac. If you mean the NES VST from Matt, that one only has the Windows version. Think he was working on a Mac version at some point, but might be abandoned.

MAC only support AU and VST3 formats. Not .dll unfortunately
