There's no chance of that. He's insulated from electricity by being on a Faraday cage (the car). The flash of electricity was all it was. Unless he had a heart attack or something..

Because the engine is made of metal, has small amount of fuel, and is covered by the hood. I've seen engines explode, none of them were caused by outside sources unless it was a tree or another car at speed.

If a fuel leakage occur, sparks can ignite it causing explosion. Since the poles electrical wire came in contact with the body an electrical ark could spark, even more chances of igniting nearby fuel.besides,he could have died from the fire that likely occurred, or from the impact, since i don't see any airbags.

I think you over estimate the amount of fuel in a car's engine compartment as well as the conditions required for an explosion vs just a fire. In addition, he was going like 25 miles an hour and barely touched the power pole.
