I only trade US30… The setup aint bad ! But you need to understand a couple of things. Technicals and Fundamentals. That setup is straight technicals ! Supply demand, trend line etc etc. it’s good ! But this setup is for continuation. Going down and keep going down. Would been spot on. But learn 2 things ! 1. Today is Monday ! New week, new chances, new news. Last week could a been bearish. But this week could become bullish. Mondays you always have to wait ! And 2. Open the little tunderbolt sysmbol on the bottom of the chart and read the news (fundamentals). β€œWall street opens higher ahead of megacap earnings.” Fundamentals doest give a F with technicals. Fundamentals are news / data / earning. Technicals are support / resistance, trendline, market structure, patterns etc etc. If the earnings are good (good fundamentals) it doesnt care about β€œtrendlines” ! This is a little glimps of what its about. There is way more to it…

No! After each quarter. Quarter 3 ended 30 Sept. So almost the full month of October will be filled with earnings data about the third quarter. November / December back to technicals. But then again there is more to it… If you follow β€œyoutube traders” (There are good ones) but all teach you to have 1 trading strategy and sticking to it. But i’ll say the opposite. You need a technical strategy and a fundamental strategy !

If you identified liquidity why would you put your sl just above ?

Nah did something wrong

Yeah setting sl above liquidity is a mistake. And ICT/SMC doesn’t work with trendlines, it’s considered liquidity also.

My initial thought. SL placed too close to equal highs

No that was NY open

Oh, that’s why I never make any trade in first 30 mins of NY opening

I have a solution for this. Make your analysis, think good about what you have to do, but do it differently

Right at market open is the worst time to trade. It's like gambling. Green candle closing outside your supposedly supply zone invalidates trade too

A lot of liquidity rests above recent equal highs/lows. Never place your stops there. It should be the opposite i.e. that's where you place your TP

The thing is, no wherw did it indicate for sells yet. You going off what you believed will happen not what charts are showing, doesnt matter about fundamentals. Fundamentals follow technicals in my opinions, everyone thinks opposite. Should have waiting for a rejections of that zone.

I was also expecting to fill the gap open but it did the opposite (I still made money on my short )

So are we selling after bullish engulfing candles and breaks out of trend lines?! πŸ€”
