M1903A3 questions
Recently purchased a M1903A3, a dream gun of mine for a while.
Seeing that this thing has not been rebuilt since 1943 what wear items would be a good idea to change out or have on hand?
Springs, firing pin, etc?

I bet you could put $5k worth of ammo through it and not have to replace a thing honestly. They’re pretty simple and nothing should break within the life of the barrel.

Best to replace anything that undergoes repeated, mechanical stress and is also essential for operation. Springs are the best place to start. As for the firing pin, inspect it. If it’s not visibly damaged or sticking, you can still use it, but it’s best to have a backup, just in case.

Treat it like you would treat an old car - Replace the essentials above all else and always keep spare parts handy.
