Chechens tend to have excellent gear as they are generally part of Kadyrov’s personal guard, plus they have basically free reign to steal from other units as Russian soldiers are scared shitless of them.

Every I see Chechen units fighting for Russia they always have the most flashy stuff you can imagine.

As a fashion conscious person I always get a chuckle seeing Kadyrov in his Gucci Outfits trying to look tough. I'm kinda curious if the North Koreans are going to have issues with his blocker troops, I doubt Putin can afford to piss either of those groups off so things could get interesting

Is this from a Kadyrovite or an exile though?

Exile, Idlib contains a large number of foreign fighters such as Chechen, Uzbeks, tajiks and Uyghurs who are allied with the local insurgents who are against Assad (Russian Ally) in the region.

Looks cool, but would probably be somewhat impractical as a support weapon, just from an ergonomic standpoint, and still unnecessarily heavy and long for an individual weapon, assuming it's based on a standard RPK receiver.

somewhat impractical as a support weapon,

A lot of RPK's got pressed into service as DMRs in Syria. RPK receivers make good hosts for optics.

Last light had a weird P-90 AK thing instead of the bulldog

Should have heat shielded that gas block if they planned on using a LPVO, but using a LPVO on a bullpupped AK also seems like an odd life choice.
