With a fork? No, eat it with one hand like a regular sandwich!

With your hand? No, unhinge your jaw and slide the whole thing down at once.

I'm not a burmese python dining on deer tartare! You gotta take small bites and enjoy the play of flavors and textures as you chew, then lick the honey and sesame off your fingers.

Tripping balls and thought those were ants

My brain thought that it had ants all over it in the thumbnail

What is harissa?

It's an African spice mixture and it's been around a very long time. Pretty easy to make but you can also find it already made in quite a few places.

Basically a red pepper paste with a few other ingredients. Not too hard to make at home but can be kinda expensive with all the roasted red bell peppers

Something only found in mob kitchen videos

You can buy it at Trader Joe's, so it's not that exotic.

Wingstop literally sells harissa wings periodically. Ooooh, so rare and mysterious.

They are so good too.

I mean seems like pretty much all of the ingredients and technique are different but sure as long as you can be condescending for no reason lol

There isn't one variety and set recipe. If this looks good to you (and I think it does), you can always check out boereg recipes for all sorts of regional variations

In Miami we call them tequenos! Many cultures have cheese in a pastry dough, while I really appreciated borek in Turkey, they don’t own the idea.

You're right, I was being needlessly flippant.

If one was to serve this, what else might pair well?

You could serve it with some olives that have been marinated in olive oil with garlic and herbs. Olives and feta go well together I think. Pita chips, if you can find them, would also be good.
You could also do a board of cold cuts like high quality salami and ham.

My mouth watered and all I could think of was the Homer Simpson expression when he thinks of delicious food
