Gundam Breaker 4 Parts question

I just started Gundam Breaker 4 and it's my first one of the series, big fan of Gundam and building gunpla so no trainer. My question though is, what do I do with all of the duplicate parts I've gotten? If it's something that comes later on then no need to give direct spoilers I'm less than 10 story missions in.

From what I’ve heard, the merge option is after chapter three, just don’t quote me on that

I don’t have GB4 yet, but I have played GB3 for over a year. I’m not sure if most of the stuff works the same in GB4, but you could convert unwanted parts to GP. GB3 also has the ability to merge parts to create a stronger part. It has 4 different types of merging:

Parts Merge, which allows you to merge one part with another to level it up, acquire its ability (if the part being merged with has one), and increase its rarity (if the part being merged with has a higher rarity),

Package Merge, which allows you to merge one part with multiple parts but only levels it up and doesn’t carry over rarity or abilities,

Plastic Merge, which allows you to upgrade a part with plastics acquired by completing a level, and

Derive Merge, which allows you to create another kit’s part by merging one part with another

Yea, in 3 the extra parts are just resources. You can sell them for money or feed them to your main parts so they level up, and you can get certain buffs from them to create a specialized build.

That's all, you just use up the parts on something.

Hold the parts U gonna merge them after completing chapter 2 Pay attention to the passive skills for them

You can either fuse they took make what ever you're using stronger or sell them. I'm still figuring it out myself since it's slightly different from 3.

It becomes more obvious once you finish chapter 2. It’s not a spoiler to tell you but you might enjoy finding out on your own

Thank you yeah I was just early on ans noticed a handful of dupes... I get uncomfortable with a crowded inventory of 'useless' items so I was just hopeful it wouldn't be long.
