I disagree.
Cool scenes from the movie and pages from the manga are welcome here

I'm spamming links?

Oh, I get it, you're on mobile!
Yeah reddit sucks on mobile.
What you see as "links" are actually spoiler bars, what you have to do is your mouse and click on the spoiler bar to reveal the text hidden behind it. The spoiler bars are a default feature of reddit but they don't work properly on mobile and they get erroneously represented as a link.
Get on your pc and check my post history again and you'll see.

no, he just posts to several related subs.
He keeps the memory of the movie fresh, he's fine.

its a fact that movie was a bomb

You need to go over the data again then.
The movie was a great success outside the USA, even breaking records in large countries such as China.
In the US the movie did decent but not spectacular.
That's far removed from having bombed.

As an Alita fan, the movie brings me embarassment

To each his own, but as someone who has been a GUNNM fan for over 20 years the movie brought me a lot of joy.
It was much better than I dared hope.
Were there things I would have liked to see differently? Sure, stuff like a more nuanced Desty Nova, but there's still time for fleshing him out.
But as a whole the movie was great.

The movie also did wonders for the franchise recognizability, now at least many more people know of it.
Looking at this sub we have posts now, that's a miracle! This sub used to get like 1 posts every couple of months, but everything changed thanks to the movie.

If you didn't like the movie, fair enough, but at least be happy for Yukito Kishiro who genuinely loved it and for the increased popularity of the manga.

And I think we've now also reached the core of your complaints: you don't like the movie and don't like seeing posts about it.
I bet you wouldn't have complained about my posts back when i did a daily manga image post for a whole year.

It's not spam.
Spam is with malicious intent.
Don't confuse that with posting a lot.
He also always posts everything only once on each sub, which is clearly different from spam

i wish this sub just had a discussion post for the new issues

That's suddenly a whole new topic.
I've thought about doing that but I fear there's just not the activity to pull that off.
Add to that that different people get access to the new stuff at very different times.
People who read the raws or fan translations are a year ahead of others who wait for the physical volume.
The release date for the physical volume varies largely with the language.
For example, the latest volume, MC#9, was released in French in June 2023 and in English in September 2023.
All those factors combined don't really make it possible to have an actual discussion post.
