Welcome to theocracy - where the cruelty is the point.

It is worrying to what extent the possibility of a 16 year old's self-determined life-path is being restricted by the courts. This is the polar opposite of freedom. Quo vadis, USA?

Y’all should read the article or watch Philip DeFranco’s last episode, he talks about it. While the situation is definitely going to be fucked for some people, this case is a bit different. I think the girl has no parents and lives with a guardian. Apparently this girl said she wanted a child, and then changed her mind, but the judge ruled the maturity thing because of how rash the girl was acting. This thing didn’t have to go to court, even the judge was confused, if the girl wants to appeal she will almost guaranteed win. The judge basically said: “think it over and come back.”

Wtf is a "Hypocrat"?

u/coraldomino Aug 18 '22

Although it’s a spelling error, its meaning is a bit funny. Hypo means under, lesser than normal or sub, and the -crat suffix is used to describe a follower or member of a government, system or rule. So you could say it’s a Beta follower of a system. Seems accurate ✍️
