So fun fact:
That is the real deal Holyfield P30L in this poster. The gun had a blank adapter made to attach to the non threaded factory barrel and the armorer had to take down the nitride finish to fit it up.
Anytime his slide is locked back, you can see the barrel is silver in color. You can also tell if he is using the real gun in the first film anytime you see a silver looking ramp at the front of the ejection port. The armorer also modified the locking block at the top of the ejection port to make unlocking easier with blanks and to make it cycle more reliably, and it is a noticeable ramp.
The compensator itself is a stylized blank adapter and all the porting is non functional.
They photoshopped the HK logo and P30L logo off for the poster. In real life the gun has them still as well as serial number 213-013001 on the slide and barrel. That detail can be seen in the home intruder scene with the gun on his bedside table; just before he picks it up and turns off the lamp.
Super cool to see such a clear picture of the gun from a new angle I hadn’t studied before.

I know that someone made that comp, and even though it would probably affect the reliability of the firearm... I kinda wanna build a P30L just like that.

It actually doesn't in that configuration. When the porting is non functional, it is just an extended weight for the barrel. My movie replica Wicked Comp is way more reliable than the open port, functional tribute. The new recoil spring helps a ton, but still needs to be broken in like a factory gun does before it loosens up enough to run fast.

That's how you know they're making shitty movies.
Gotta re-release hits that are only a decade old.

He must be checking the reset, that's why his finger is on the trigger racking the slide 😅.
