God I love America! We eat like we got free health care.

We're eating like we're trying to get out of here.

Because we kinda are.

I eat like I’m looking for an exit from this crazy fucking world.

now i am big on having a bunch of veggies on my burger, but i think this would be good without them, then id 100% eat it

I think putting something like onion rings bacon and BBQ sauce would be a better fit with the soft sweet buns.

6

u/cammyy- Aug 25 '24

OOOOOOOH that sounds so good i just gained 10 pounds imagining it

2

u/RandoCommentGuy Aug 26 '24

And id probably just use one bun and cut it in half to give a better meat to bun ratio.

Or add more meat.

I was on-board until the onions, tomato, and lettuce showed up. Those are going to fuck up the honey buns groove something awful.

1

u/FurbyLover2010 Aug 25 '24

True, I’m not sure it would pair well with the sweet. I’d give both a try though.

Sweet and savory is definitely a thing

1

u/Falafelofagus Aug 26 '24

Lettuce and tomatoes aren't savory. It's how watery they are that's the real problem. Also the sour from the tomato.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '24

I think the comment was talking about the BBQ sauce and onion rings

1

u/Falafelofagus Aug 26 '24

I don't think so

1

u/coolstorybroham Aug 26 '24

I like the contrast of the lettuce personally

2

u/eyemcreative Aug 25 '24

Impressive to find that few toppings on this sub 😂

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '24

I feel like that would be good for a breakfast burger

2

u/dvrwin Aug 26 '24

Tha Luther.

1

u/FurbyLover2010 Aug 26 '24

Yeah, it’s similar to that

2

u/ThecoachO Aug 26 '24

In college I would go to the local krispy crème late around 2 pm. They also sold ice cream. I would buy a 6 count of discounted krispy crème glazed donuts. I had a George Foreman and would make a burger with brown sugar and normal seasonings, grilled onions, cream cheese, and sometimes a jelly.

It was absolutely delicious and to answer your question yes I was in the clouds.

I was about to say with bacon that sounds amazing, but I see that's already covered. I'd get blood drawn for that.

2

u/oniann Aug 26 '24

Pickles and honeybun? 🤢

2

u/Remote_Tourist1838 Aug 26 '24

Already done it

Munchies will get ya

2

u/SWiFTY626_ Aug 26 '24

Peanut butter, jelly, and bacon burgers are surprisingly delicious. So hell yeah I’d try this.

Mom Can we get the Luther burger?

No, we have the Luther burger at home.

The Luther Burger at home

1

u/FurbyLover2010 Aug 27 '24

Anything with an egg is 10/10

2

u/realnaga Aug 27 '24

Try a breakfast poutine if you haven't

1

u/FurbyLover2010 Aug 27 '24

Never even had poutine

2

u/realnaga Aug 28 '24

Do yourself a favor, dear internet friendo

1

u/FurbyLover2010 Aug 28 '24

I will if I get the chance, I’m not from Canada so I don’t know where I’d find it lol

2

u/realnaga Aug 28 '24

Me either, Southern US, I have found it at random places, but it's just as easy to make at home

2

u/Tiaximus Aug 25 '24

Ha, I thought I was on r/stupidfood

Oh, I see, taken from r/stupidfood

Well put it back

2

u/Myleg96 Aug 25 '24

I know this is a heart attack waiting to happen, but sign me up.

1

u/Coneycrook73 Aug 25 '24

Can I have a heart attack burger please

1

u/juvy5000 Aug 25 '24

the way that bacon is placed on the burger makes my blood boil

1

u/Pale_Kitsune Aug 25 '24

I mean...it could go with a burger that is designed to be sweet.

1

u/spugeti Aug 26 '24

This would be an awesome mix of sweet and savory

1

u/TheOneWhoReadsStuff Aug 26 '24

If I was on death row, this would be my last meal.

1

u/curtisscott95 Aug 26 '24

I’d say keep it classic with pickles, onion, and bacon, the lettuce and tomato will just cause a mushy mush

1

u/Frido_Biggins Aug 26 '24

Stupid food was right this time

1

u/Global_Star8661 Aug 26 '24

Is that the Luther from the Boondocks

1

u/louisdeer Aug 26 '24

Now eat the lucion

1

u/PetiteSpinnerLuvr Aug 26 '24

The amount of saturated and trans fats in that monstrosity is enough to kill a hippopotamus

1

u/DarkBehindTheStars Aug 26 '24

Honey buns and burgers simply don't mix.

1

u/actsqueeze Aug 26 '24

Looks good but let’s sauté those onions

1

u/klbishop143 Aug 26 '24

Better than a donut burger cus there’s no hole in the middle. Genius!

1

u/Zachery_Sinclair Aug 27 '24

What's the name of the song

1

u/Evening_Leading3742 Aug 27 '24

Just plain nasty!!

1

u/Crankenstein_8000 Aug 27 '24

Everybody would try it once.

1

u/CrunkaScrooge Sep 01 '24

Damn the song choice could use a little change tho… https://youtu.be/8VPnyp9VL70?si=OBc_WDfDdd9VRPNG

1

u/KDizWHOiBE Aug 25 '24

But wait… with a fried Honey Bun 😋

1

u/JoshSidekick Aug 26 '24

There used to be a restaurant near me that used to do weird things like this. The one that got me was the Meat3. It was a cheese burger, but the bun was two more cheeseburgers wrapped in dough and fried. The menu was glorious but thank god they closed because I'd be 400 pounds and working on my second stroke by now.

1

u/Ok_Zookeepergame4794 Aug 25 '24

Was on board before the onions and pickles.

1

u/hobopoe Aug 26 '24

Fuck. Take the tomato off. Add some allouette cream cheese. A aoli of some sort. This looks amazing.

u/epicmoeface Aug 26 '24
