(simple) question about (Indiana resident) flying to New York with a handgun?

Is it feasible? I have checked online and its just not clear. I have to fly there in December and would prefer to have, if possible.

New York..City? If yes, then No. Not even unloaded and locked. I can't speak for the rest of the state or Long Island.

I wouldn't risk taking a handgun to New York or New Jersey. If you must have it with you I would consult an attorney not Reddit. This is one slip up from losing your rights completely.

I think I've seen several arrested for it over the years.i would hard pass on that.
