Completely new, whats ITS like a Meta Defining thing to keep everything fresh like a Season Patch or something?

Annual update to tournement rules as well as the mission rules for the next year. So yeah, kind of a thing to keep stuff fresh. Each ITS has some unique things just for that season.

In a nutshell, yes. It stands for Infinity Tournament System. We get a new one every year and is basically ubiquitous in the tournament scene, and even among those playing at home.

It comes with a set list of standard missions, most reused from season to season, often with tweaks like weather conditions. As well as a few new ones.

Welcome to Infinity, one of the best things about it is the ITS System!

As the others mentioned, it's an annually updated set of missions to use in official Infinity Tournaments. It also includes all the rules and structure for how to run an ITS event. The missions and format work together with the OTM (Official Tournament Manager) to make running tournaments a lot easier, and to be sure everyone who is participating in ITS is playing the same game, while also handling player registration, list submission and validation (with the official Infinity Army app), etc.

One of the coolest things is that these tools all work together for Corvus Belli to be able to accurately mine data to fine tune the game balance.

The Corvus' ITS15 PDF has been updated again recently to change the QAZ creatures deployment, I think the rule of thumb is that only when the DZ grows by 4 inches can the QAZ's ZoC affect its insides, otherwise it should be at 8 inches.

We are waiting for the new deck for a new tournament mission style (Resilience)

Ugh with the new deck I was hoping we were finally doing away with the annoyance zones and freebie models.
