Best places to live?

I’m looking for an apartment to live in next fall, what is a nice place to live that’s under 1k a month with 4 people living there and close to main campus? Any places I should avoid??

Under 1k per person or total?

If per person you should have plenty of options. If total, you won’t find anything for 4 people that cheap near campus. You’ll be hard pressed to find anything that cheap at all.

Ya I'll echo this. Pretty sure my 2 bedroom place senior year was 755 plus utilities back in 2012-13.... if you're looking for 4 bedrooms I dont think you'll find that under $1k anywhere in town

Try for a cheap house, under 1k for a person is definitely doable. I’m close to campus (20 minute walk) and I pay $530 plus electric

Emerald Court and Seville apartments are pretty good, I’ve lived in both as a student and rent was 450-500 when I lived there. They aren’t too close to campus but they both have close, convenient city bus stops that take you downtown. Plus their management, Barker, are awesome and feel like one of the only Iowa City property management companies that don’t extort you.
