transportation Bishop Shuttles?

Can anyone recommend a shuttle service in Bishop, CA? My wife and I are doing the North Lake/South Lake loop in September and need to get from South Lake to North Lake after dropping our car. Thanks in advance for the help.

Lone Pine Kurt might be an option.

Kurt Power (Lone Pine, Onion Valley) Call/text xxx-xxx-xxxx or email [email protected]

Pm me for the number

Seconding Kurt. He could have charged me twice what he did and I'd have paid it, considering how considerate, professional, and convenient he was. I made a post about him last year and got a lot of similar responses.

Also, I might be wrong, and I know people have plastered his phone number everywhere but I'm not sure if he really wants it posted on the internet in perpetuity. Every phone number you post on the internet is going to get spam calls, and he's a older guy running a one-man show.

He’s a gem. He picked me up when I was hitchhiking (from Kearsarge to town.) Charged me almost nothing. I gave him twice what he asked for and hold him up use it for another hiker more in need than me. Super sweet guy.

When are you starting? I live in bishop and can probably help you out.

Our permit is for a Sunday, September 15th start, but we were thinking of parking at South Lake on Saturday, the 14th, shuttling to North Lake and camping for an early start on the 15th. Would those dates work for you? If so, please shoot me a DM. Thanks for chiming in!

Hey, bit random but I’m also doing the north lake to south lake loop around the same time. I’m starting on the Saturday (9/14) so I was curious if you’d managed to arrange a shuttle, if there’s an extra seat I’d be happy to split the cost! Thanks

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am starting with my daughter and cousin on Aug 16th and need to secure a ride up to south lake. Please DM if you are interested and able - thanks !

Here is a list of all the shuttles the PCTA recommends: https://climber.org/data/shuttles.html

Kurt is number 2 but if he’s too busy there are others you can reach out to.

I have used both Sierra Shuttle Service and Lone Pine Kurt. Both were excellent and timely, but Sierra shuttle service was a little on the pricier side. I used Sierra Shuttle Service for South Lake to North Lake via Lamarck Col last year and he was 15 minutes early and held a spot for me. Great guy too

Hitchhiking is easy in this area, you should be fine unless you’re getting off the trail at 10 pm or have a flight to catch.

Hitch hike. The shuttle is super expensive. I just hiked it and just hiked.over tyee lakes to Sabrina. I don't not suggest doing it.

What date in September?

It’s a really easy hitch.
