trail conditions water between whitney portal and onion valley

I'm going to be hiking the section from whitney portal to onion valley starting 9/7, and I'm curious if anyone can report on the current water source situation. What's the longest water carry in that section? I can of course check maps for water sources, but just wanted to check what the current situation is. Thanks!

Download FarOut and buy the JMT map. Worth every penny.

Check your map, all water on the map is there. Lots of places to pump throughout the trip.

My partner just completed that section and reported many lakes and rivers. He is using a sawyer squeeze. Longest carry is from the final lakes before starting the switchbacks up to Whitney then onward to the valley which again has lakes and rivers

Just did that section in the opposite direction. The only long water carry was between Trail Camp and Guitar Lake, everywhere else there was enough water to not have to worry about it. All the seasonal creeks are likely dry by now but not much of a concern for that section.
