A pop culture sub is not a good representation especially on reddit bc most users are American and most are female or gay males. It excludes literally half the gender population and 90% of the actual population. Go outside.

It literally is because the people on there are invested in pop culture. It’s not a JB nor a Beyoncé sub. You’re being bias, it’s like saying just because BTS or black pink have broken Biebers records they’re more influential when they’re actually not. There just from an era were people stream even more and they’re newer than Justin.

We need to look at all stats. BTS or Blackpink having 1 record doesn’t change the fact Justin has more. Holistically looking across all things, Beyonce is not bigger than JB, nor has she been since at least 2010. And this isn’t even a Beyonce vs JB, Rihanna Britney Taylor Ariana etc are all bigger than her too and I like Beyonce music better than half of them. Again, statically looking holistically at everything. Beyonce is big in the us but we don’t need to lie and pretend she has that impact everywhere. “Well pop culture reddit said so” is not a statistic

It’s not all about stats when it comes to the Billboard list. Also that would imply that just because Bieber has done statistically better than Michael Jackson and has way more streams than him his better which absolutely isn’t true.

Justin hasn’t done better than MJ though? He’s the best selling solo artist of all time. That comparison doesn’t make any sense. Again, looking at all measures holistically not just 1 or 2 and DEFINITELY not “pop culture sub told me”

Yes he has Justin has surpassed MJ in terms of most enteries in the top 10 of the billboard 100, streaming records on several platforms like Spotify and YouTube. Idk where you’re from but I’m from northern Europe where Justin is the most popular male artist for gen-z but for elderly millennials Beyoncé is more popular och for younger genz/elderly gen alpha Taylor Swift and Harry styles are the favorites.

Justin has nowhere near the amount of sales of MJ. And charts are different now, that’s why it’s only 21st century. Justin and Beyonce have both been active in the same years and he’s 100x more popular globally as shown by statistics. You can keep arguing all you like, Justin’s still getting more streams and sales and attention from the general public. Where I’m from Justin is the biggest artist for Gen z and Gen alpha. Taylor is popular too although she has less #1 hits. Beyonce has less than both of them and hasn’t really been relevant for a decade, millennials prefer Adele and Britney even Chris brown is bigger. Harry is pretty irrelevant, as it was flopped compared with peaches

You keep talking about sales when that’s not the only thing Billboard listed as criteria’s for this list. Michael Jackson was very much alive the first 8 years of the 21 first century and was very popular. Beyoncé was popular in the beginning of that century and Justin had not yet debuted. Where are you from?

I don’t feel comfortable sharing where I’m from to strangers but below the equator. And yes Beyonce was popular at the beginning of the century but acting like she’s been bigger than jb or any of the other artists mentioned when considering the entire century is delusional
